 A selected seedling of Sakhalin spruce, this is a slow-growing, compact, globe-shaped shrub that eventually forms a leader and becomes a dwarf conical tree. Foliage is clean looking with silver/blue-green 1/2" needles that completely surround the young reddish-brown branches. Listed in the US 1988 by Mitsch Nursery, OR after receiving material from Japan. Growing 4-6" annually, a 4.5'H x 3'W tree can be enjoyed in 10 years. Full sun.  Zone 6
