Abies magnifica 'Mount Si'

25.00

Here's a unique dwarf silvertip seedling I discovered in June of 1993 while hiking along 5000-6000' ridgetops 20 miles north of Crater Lake, OR. The tree was approximately 25 years old and measured 12"H x 18"W. After a couple grow seasons in King County, WA I gifted the tree to Talon Buchholz who eventually introduced it into the trade. Named to honor our bonsai nursery Mt Si, Mount Si has retained its slow-growth habit and its slightly contorted, tiny glaucous-grey needles after twenty-some years in its new home in Gaston, OR. Growing 2-4" annually one can expect a plant ten years old to be 12"H x 16" wide. Full sun.  Zone 6  A Wabi Sabi Favorite! NOTICE! 3-yr old grafted plants will be ready for sale Sept 2019.
